Subscription Terms
Version of 28/10/2026 (ref.: termos-subscricao-v1-2026-10-28 · EN)
1. Who we are
Mexida is a brand of a self-employed sole trader. Full name, address and tax number are under Legal information (https://mexida.com/en/legal.html). Contact: hello@mexida.com.
2. Who sells you the subscription (Paddle)
The subscription is sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our official reseller (merchant of record). Paddle charges you, issues the invoice, handles VAT and processes refunds. At checkout and on Paddle's receipt and emails the seller is shown as "Vigia" (the name of the Paddle account we use for our products) and the purchase as "Mexida"; on your card statement the charge starts with "PADDLE.NET*" (with PayPal, "PAYPAL *PADDLE.NET"). When you pay you also accept Paddle's terms. These Terms govern your use of Mexida and the conditions we promise you (free week, founder price, refund). If the two differ on payment or refunds, whichever is more favourable to you applies.
3. The service
A home calisthenics training plan (about 15 minutes a day, no equipment) in a web app (PWA) that works on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on phone or computer, with an internet connection to sign in and manage the subscription. EU only. Adults (18+) only. Mexida is not medical advice and does not replace a health professional; if you have a health condition, talk to a health professional first. The programme has not been reviewed by any health or exercise professional.
4. Free week
7 days from your first workout. We don't ask for a card and there's no automatic charge at the end: you only pay if you decide to subscribe.
5. Price
- Regular plan: €8.99/month, VAT included (final price, the same in every EU country).
- Founder price: €6.99/month, VAT included. If you're on the waitlist, start your free week by the date shown in the launch email (7 days after we send it) and subscribe within 7 days after that week ends, you pay the founder price while your subscription stays active without a break. The founder price may change, but only under the conditions in "Price changes" below. A failed payment doesn't count as a break during the grace period (clause 7). If the subscription ends because you cancelled, because you exercised your right of withdrawal, or because the payment wasn't settled within that period, the founder price ends and a new subscription pays the regular price. Exception: if your subscription ended because a payment failed, you can reactivate it at the founder price within 30 days after it ended. After you exercise your right of withdrawal (from a founder or a regular subscription), a new subscription always pays the regular price.
- Price changes (the same rules for the regular price and the founder price). We only change your subscription's price for one of these reasons: (a) higher costs from the providers the service depends on (hosting, email delivery or payments); (b) new or changed taxes or charges on the subscription; (c) inflation, up to the change in the consumer price index (CPI) published by Statistics Portugal (INE) since your subscription's price last changed (or, if it never has, since it started); (d) significant new features included in your plan. The increase can't be larger than the reason justifies.
- Notice: we'll email you at least 30 days in advance with the current price, the new price, the reason and the renewal date from which the new price applies.
- When it applies: the new price only applies from the first renewal after those 30 days. Until then you pay the current price.
- Right to cancel: you can cancel before that renewal at no cost, and you won't pay the new price.
- Limit: we change your subscription's price at most once every 12 months.
- The founder price is an offer condition, not a discount on €8.99.
6. Automatic renewal and cancellation
The subscription is monthly and renews automatically every month at your subscription's price until you cancel. No minimum term. 3 days before each renewal we email you the date and amount. Cancel any time in the app, under Account → Cancel subscription (or in Paddle's customer portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for: you keep access until then and there are no further charges. We email you a confirmation.
7. Failed payments
If a payment fails, Paddle retries it. You keep access for 30 days from the failure (grace period). If the payment isn't settled within those 30 days, the subscription is cancelled and access ends. The reactivation rule in clause 5 applies.
8. Right of withdrawal and refund
- You have 14 days from your first payment to withdraw, without giving a reason, with a full refund of what you paid (even if you've used the app; this is more favourable than the law requires).
- How: in the app, under Account → "Withdraw from contract here" (you confirm in a 2nd step, with "Confirm withdrawal"); in Paddle's customer portal; by email to hello@mexida.com; or using the model form below. It's enough to send the request within the deadline.
- We email you an acknowledgement of receipt, with date and time (Lisbon time), within 24 hours.
- The subscription and your access end immediately. The refund is processed by Paddle to the same payment method within 14 days at most of your request.

9. Conformity of the service
During the subscription we make sure the service matches these Terms (Decree-Law 84/2021). If something doesn't work, write to hello@mexida.com: we fix it within a reasonable time and at no cost; if that isn't possible, you're entitled to a proportionate price reduction or to end the contract. We provide the updates needed to keep the service in conformity. We only change the service for a valid reason, at no cost to you and with clear information; if a change affects you negatively in a relevant way, you can end the contract at no cost within 30 days.
10. Account and use
The account is personal. We only suspend an account for a serious reason (for example fraud or abuse), with prior notice whenever possible.
11. Liability and health
Train within your limits and stop if you feel pain or unwell. Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or for harm to life, body or health caused by our fault.
12. Intellectual property
Mexida's content is ours. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it while your subscription is active.
13. Personal data
See the app privacy notice.
14. Changes to these Terms
We only change these Terms for a valid reason (a change in the law, in our providers or in the service). We'll email you at least 30 days in advance; if you don't agree, you can cancel before the changes apply, at no cost. Price changes follow only the rules in clause 5.
15. Complaints and disputes
- Portuguese electronic complaints book: https://www.livroreclamacoes.pt
- Alternative dispute resolution: Mexida has not voluntarily joined any ADR body, but is subject to mandatory arbitration for consumer disputes up to €5,000 if you choose it. You can use CNIACC — Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (https://www.cniacc.pt) or the competent consumer arbitration centre for your area. List at https://www.consumidor.gov.pt. If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre (https://cec.consumidor.gov.pt) can help.
- Portuguese law applies, without removing the mandatory protection of the law of the country where you live. Court: the one where you live.
16. Language and versions
These Terms exist in pt-PT, EN and ES with the same content. When your subscription becomes active, we email you ("Your Mexida subscription is active") the full text of the version you accepted, with the version number, the date you accepted it and the permanent link to that version. We keep previous versions, and the version and date you accepted are recorded in your account.
